October: National Teen Driver Safety Week

Posted Oct-21-16 at 12:00 AM By Jackie
Statistics and news stories often don’t match up. For as much as shark attack fatalities (10/yr) are televised, you’re far more likely to be killed by your bathtub (over 300/yr), for example. Feel free to go swimming, but you might want to rethink taking a bath. Across the country, the driver’s license is a rite of passage, and tens of thousands of teens will get their learner’s permits or driver’s licenses and ask, “Parental Unit, can I borrow the keys?” or “Can I go with my BFF to the mall?” [...more]

On average, 30 people are killed by drunk drivers every day in the United States, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While accidents happen, the sad fact is drunk driving is not an accident; it is the result of poor choices. Like many other poor choices, drunk driving is a preventable crime. Is Car Flipping for Profit on the Decline?

Posted Mar-10-14 at 12:00 AM By Jackie
The popular Barrett-Jackson automotive auctions are the flashy end result of the business of flipping cars. While buying used vehicles for a low price, fixing them, and selling for a profit has always been around, there is a renewed interest due to shows like Fast N Loud and Counting Cars. Pre-Great Recession, car flipping was a decent way to make cash as a side business, or even a full time source of employment for a few adventurous souls.
