The L88 Corvette was manufactured in 1967. Because only 20 were built, it is considered by many collectors to be the ultimate American-made car.
Earlier this month an L88 went on the block at Barrett-Jackson. It had the additional distinction of being the only 1967 L88 built in red. This one-of-kind car fetched the highest price at the 2014 Scottsdale event

At last week's Barrett-Jackson, film fiction came to life when a recreation of 'Tow Mater' went on the block.
Tow Mater is a character in both Cars and Cars 2, blockbuster animated films from Disney-Pixar.
This version of Tow Mater was created on a 55 Chevy truck and customized to resemble the animated car.
