Police in Dubai have a new showpiece in their impressive fleet of fast squad cars: A Bugatti Veyron that cost a cool $1.6 million and takes only 2.5 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph. Its top speed is 267 mph. It joins other top cars in the "super fleet" that includes Mercedes, Aston Martin, McLaren, Ferrari and Lamborghini models. The entire fleet is estimated to be worth $6.5 million. These police vehicles aren't used to patrol or apprehend criminals. They are used for PR, as a way to connect with the people of Dubai and foreign tourists as well as to garner social media attention. The cars appear at malls, tourist attractions and special events. See the Veyron -- and other cars in the Dubai police fleet -- in the following video.
